The first Max Planck Postdoctoral Researchers in Immunobiology and Epigenetics (MaxPRImE) retreat tries to foster interactions and social exchange at the MPI-IE in Freiburg. The program will consist of talks, elevator presentations, a seminar given by an outside speaker - AND - for sure there will be also plenty of time for scientific (and non-scientifc) interactions :-). The social program includes a outing/small excursion on Thursday afternoon followed by a dinner in town.
Our venue will be the Musikakademie in Staufen south of Freiburg. Apart from the conference hall, the place offers mostly double rooms for the overnight stay. Lunch on Thursday / Friday and breakfast on Friday will be served at the Musikakademie.
The city of Staufen im Breisgau lies in the Land district of Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald (Breisgau-Upper Black Forest) in the GermanState of Baden-Württemberg. The City of Staufen has approximately 7700 inhabitants and forms, together with the community of Münstertal, Black Forest, a community administrative unit. It is noted in history and culture for its association with Dr Faustus who, according to legend, sold his soul to the Devil at an inn here.
